First Aviation Academy and SB Finance sign agreement to support aspiring pilots through student loan assistance

First Aviation Academy (FAA) and SB Finance, the financing arm of Security Bank Corporation, have formalized a partnership aimed at providing aspiring pilots with greater access to financing for their professional flight training.

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed on August 27, 2026, at the MacroAsia Boardroom, bringing together senior executives from First Aviation Academy, MacroAsia Corporation, SB Finance, and Security Bank.

Representing First Aviation Academy and MacroAsia Corporation were Mr. Eduardo Luis Luy, Chairman of First Aviation Academy and President of MacroAsia Corporation; MGen. Restituto Padilla Jr. AFP (Ret.), President of First Aviation Academy; and Mr. Amador Sendin, Treasurer of First Aviation Academy and Chief Financial Officer of MacroAsia Corporation.

SB Finance was represented by Ms. Abbie Cassanova, President and Chief Executive Officer of SB Finance. Also present from Security Bank were Mr. Robert Tejuco, Corporate Banking Team Head, and Mr. Rizaldy Christian Floresca, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager.

The partnership establishes a Student Loan Assistance Program designed to help qualified students access financing support as they pursue professional pilot training at First Aviation Academy.

For FAA, the agreement represents another important step toward making aviation education more accessible to aspiring pilots who seek to build careers in the growing aviation industry.

The partnership also reflects the shared commitment of FAA, SB Finance, and Security Bank to support the development of future aviation professionals by helping address one of the key challenges faced by aspiring pilots: access to financing for specialized training.

With its CAAP-approved training programs, modern training facilities, and growing fleet, First Aviation Academy continues to strengthen its programs and industry partnerships to prepare students for professional aviation careers.

The FAA–SB Finance partnership opens another pathway for aspiring pilots to take their first steps toward the cockpit and pursue their goal of becoming Global Aviation Professionals.
