Lifelinks attends Slovenia-Philippines labor partnership event

MARCH 17, 2025

Lifelinks proudly participated in the Informative Session on Living and Working in Slovenia, held on March 11, 2025, in cooperation with the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia (ESS), the Embassy of Slovenia, and the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The event provided an in-depth look into employment opportunities for Filipino workers in Slovenia, featuring company owners and industry representatives who introduced their organizations, discussed labor market demands, and explored potential job placements. A brief networking session allowed participants to engage in discussions and establish valuable connections before the formal signing of a landmark agreement.

The second part of the event marked a major milestone in Philippines-Slovenia labor relations with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanja Fajon. This agreement underscores worker protection, ethical recruitment, streamlined visa processes, bilateral knowledge exchange, and expanded healthcare employment opportunities. With 462 Filipinos already employed in Slovenia across industries such as accounting, customer service, and healthcare, the MOU strengthens migration governance while opening doors for more Filipino professionals to thrive abroad.

Lifelinks remains committed to facilitating ethical, secure, and rewarding career opportunities for Filipinos in the global workforce. Through active participation in international labor initiatives, Lifelinks continues to serve as a bridge connecting Filipino talent with reputable global employers, fostering meaningful career growth and economic empowerment.
