RSE Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation forge partnership to strengthen disaster preparedness
JANUARY 31, 2025

In a significant step toward strengthening disaster preparedness, PTC’s RSE Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing. This partnership aims to enhance resource-sharing, community training, and emergency response strategies in vulnerable regions.
Capt. Ronaldo SJ Enrile, Executive Director of RSE Foundation, underscored the synergy between the two organizations. “This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our mission to safeguard communities. By merging RSE’s technical expertise with ABS-CBN Foundation’s grassroots reach, we can amplify our impact and ensure no one is left unprepared when disasters strike.”
Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Roberta Lopez-Feliciano, Managing Director of ABS-CBN Foundation, emphasized the transformative power of collaboration. “Sustainable change begins with cooperation. With RSE Foundation’s innovative approaches, we can create programs that not only respond to crises but also empower Filipinos to anticipate and mitigate risks proactively.”

Ms. Beng Cristobal, RSE Foundation Trustee, and PTCI Shipping Cluster COO, highlighted the maritime sector’s vital role in knowledge-sharing. “Our industry’s strength lies not just in resources but in deep-rooted expertise in safety and crisis management. Through this partnership, we are committed to equipping coastal communities with the skills to navigate disasters effectively. By investing in capacity-building, we empower them to become first responders in their own localities.”
The joint initiatives, set to launch later this year, will focus on community training, resource distribution, and technology-driven disaster response systems. With a shared vision and combined strengths, RSE Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation aim to set a benchmark for collaborative efforts in building a disaster-resilient Philippines.
