PTC RISE and Bantay Bata foster disaster preparedness through interactive board game session
SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
ABS-CBN Foundation Bantay Bata, in partnership with the PTC RISE Program team, successfully conducted a Master of Disaster (MOD) Board Game Session in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, last August 31, 2024.
Led by PTC Talent Acquisition Group RISE Lead Program Officer Josh McCarver, along with Project Associate Crystal Lopez and Program Associate Chloe Balmaceda, over 70 participants played the MOD Board Game. Through the game, they learned more about proper preparation and response before, during, and after hazards that may lead to disasters. This program is part of the ABS-CBN Foundation Bantay Bata Child Safe Schools Program, which advocates for and strengthens children's rights, while addressing the issues and problems faced by children and youth.
Heartfelt thanks to ABS-CBN Foundation Inc., led by Managing Director Ms. Roberta Lopez-Feliciano, along with Bantay Bata Program Head Ms. Levi Ambon-Rota and Sagip Kapamilya Program Head Mr. Marcel Riñon, for their guidance and support in making this program possible.
We are united with ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. and the Municipality of Pola, Oriental Mindoro, in promoting children's rights and ensuring their safety and well-being during hazards and disasters, as we work together to build resilient communities and resilient lives.
