Bridging academia and industry: PTC hosts on-site exposure activity for LCC Tanauan

On November 22, 2024, the PTC Talent Acquisition Group welcomed 1st to 4th-year Business Administration students from La Consolacion College Tanauan to the PTC Group Headquarters in Makati City for their On-Site Exposure Activity. The event equipped them with skills and knowledge for diverse professional environments, preparing them for successful careers in their respective fields.
The program commenced with a series of motivational talks from PTC professionals. Ian Kevin Balete, PTC Shipping Cluster HR Manager, shared practical career tips tailored for aspiring HR professionals. His insights emphasized the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in the ever-evolving business landscape. C/E Gerardo Ramirez, PTC Shipmanagement Inc. Tech. Superintendent in Charge, offered a comprehensive overview of the maritime industry, provided them with a unique perspective on the dynamic and critical operations within maritime sectors, and encouraged them to consider the vast opportunities available in this field. Rheena Sollorin, Business Development Manager of PHILCAMSAT, concluded the short session by discussing the latest trends and practices in sales and marketing. Her presentation highlighted innovative strategies and the importance of staying ahead in a competitive market, inspiring students to think creatively and strategically.
Post-discussion, students embarked on a tour of the PTC facilities where students observed the daily operations and absorbed the corporate culture firsthand, and the tour continued at the PHILCAMSAT training center, where students were introduced to state-of-the-art simulators. This hands-on experience allowed them to witness real-world operations, further enhancing their understanding of the industry’s practical aspects. After the tour, the students expressed their gratitude to the PTC Talent Acquisition Group by creating and showcasing a short video about the partnership between PTC-TAG and LCCT. The video highlighted the strong partnership between PTC-TAG and LCCT and served as a testament to the collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing students' learning experiences and preparing them for future professional challenges.
These initiatives not only enhance students' educational journeys but also inspire them to pursue their passions with confidence and clarity. Engaging with seasoned professionals and exploring cutting-edge facilities equips them with valuable insights and skills that are crucial for their future careers.
