PTC RISE Program visits OCD Central Office

The PTC RISE Program team visited the Civil Defense PH Central Office on May 14 at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Led by Civil Defense CALABARZON Regional Director Carlos Ermita Alvarez, along with PTC Talent Acquisition Group Program Manager Hector Brizuela, Lead Program Officer Josh McCarver, and Project Associate Crystal Lopez, the team visited the office of Civil Defense Training Institute (CDTI) Director Eugenio Gepte, Jr., where discussions were held regarding the PTC RISE Program and how to collaborate with the OCD Central Office on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) issues.
CDTI Director Gepte expressed gratitude for the visit of the PTC RISE Program and its aim to impart proper knowledge and skills on DRR to Seafarer Communities, Schools, and Sectors in the country. Director Gepte also welcomed the desire of The PTC Group of Companies and RISE Program to collaborate with the agency, assuring that any support needed would be gladly accommodated. The PTC RISE Program team also presented Master of Disaster (MOD) Board Game sets to Director Gepte as a token of appreciation for the meaningful and productive meeting at his office. Following this, the PTC RISE Program team, accompanied by RD Alvarez, also visited the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), where they briefly interviewed OCD Operations Service Director Cesar Idio.
