Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) RISE Program and Sagip Kapamilya connect with San Nicolas LGU and Civil Defense CALABARZON

The PTC RISE Program team, together with ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya, met with the officials of the Municipality of San Nicolas, Batangas for a pilot collaboration on Disaster Resilience last October 16 at the Municipal Hall of San Nicolas, Batangas.

The team discussed the upcoming Disaster Resilience Program which will capacitate the Municipality of San Nicolas l, its community leaders, and citizens on Disaster Risk Reduction, focusing on a community-based and sustainable disaster preparedness program.

ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya Program Head Marcel Riñon, with Program Officer AK Miranda, expressed their support to San Nicolas, Batangas, and its citizens through the facilitation of the target Disaster Resilience Program, and reaffirmed their commitment towards continuous capacity development on disaster preparedness, disaster response, and relief operations.

The municipality of San Nicolas, Batangas, represented by Councilor Christopher Arriola Barrion, thanked PTC RISE Program and ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya for choosing to pilot the Disaster Resilience Program in the municipality and expressed their support in making the program happen for the benefit of San Nicolaseños.

The team also extended a courtesy visit to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region IV-A CALABARZON last October 16 at Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. OCD CALABARZON Regional Director Carlos Ermita Alvarez received the PTC RISE Program and ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya teams, where they discussed future collaborations and partnerships on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) related programs. He also expressed his support and gratitude to both contingents for their commitment and enthusiasm to connect and partner with OCD CALABARZON.
