PTC participates in WCC’s Personality Development Seminar

The PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG) was honored to be invited by one of its esteemed partner schools, World Citi Colleges (WCC) Antipolo Campus last May 16, 2024, to participate in their Personality Development Seminar. This seminar was designed to provide WCC students with invaluable insights and tips to foster their personal and professional growth as they prepare to enter the world of work. In an increasingly competitive job market, enhancing soft skills is crucial for success, and the expertise of The PTC Group significantly contributed to this endeavor. The event featured two distinguished PTC speakers: Ian Kevin Balete, HR Manager of PTC Shipping Cluster, and Sheila Samantha Tidon, Business Development Assistant Manager of PHILCAMSAT. The seminar was attended by over 100 third- and fourth-year students from various disciplines, including Communications, IT, Marketing, and Criminology, as well as senior high school students taking Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS). Ian's session focused on building confidence and developing effective speaking and presentation skills, essential tools for any aspiring professional. Meanwhile, Sam discussed the importance of presenting a professional image to future or current employers, and the social skills necessary to thrive in the corporate world or any industry, and she also introduced the DISC Personality Types, which were highly valued by the students. The seminar was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation from both students and faculty. Katherine I. Cendaña, WCC College of Communication Arts Program Head, extended her heartfelt thanks to PTC-TAG for making this impactful activity possible. She emphasized that such initiatives are vital in equipping students with the essential skills required to navigate and succeed in their future careers. The collaboration between WCC and the PTC Talent Acquisition Group exemplifies a strong commitment to student development and professional excellence.
