PTC joins the 7th National Data Privacy Conference

The PTC Group actively participated in the 7th National Data Privacy Conference, themed “Data Privacy For All: Embracing Inclusivity and Diversity,” held on May 30 at Solaire Resort in Paranaque City. Represented by Engr. Peter Lugue, PTC's Data Privacy Officer (DPO), the company underscored its commitment to upholding data privacy standards. Ms. Monica Par, Business Process Excellence Manager of Constellation Travels, Inc., also participated in the conference.This conference is a significant component of Privacy Awareness Week (PAW), an annual event celebrated through Proclamation No. 527 series of 2018, which gathers data privacy practitioners and professionals to share insights, best practices, and advancements in the field of data privacy. 
During the conference, attendees had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of data privacy and connect with leading experts. The event facilitated knowledge sharing on best practices, theoretical frameworks, and programs aimed at enhancing data privacy compliance across the Philippines. Engr. Peter Lugue represented PTC with distinction, contributing to the discussions that emphasize the importance of robust data privacy measures in protecting individuals' information and maintaining public trust.

This year’s theme, “Data Privacy For All: Embracing Inclusivity and Diversity,” reflects the National Privacy Commission’s (NPC) goal of fostering a comprehensive and inclusive dialogue about data privacy. The NPC advocates for the universal right to data privacy, regardless of background, identity, or circumstances, aligning with PAW2024's focus on promoting inclusivity and diversity. PTC’s participation in the conference reaffirms its dedication to ensuring data privacy for all, supporting the broader mission of creating a secure and equitable digital environment for every Filipino.
