PTC forges partnership with VMA Global College

On May 13, 2024, Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc., through the Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Inc. Talent Acquisition Group, signed a partnership with VMA Global College, a collaboration aimed at enhancing educational and career opportunities for students. This partnership paves the way for a comprehensive program that includes internships for non-maritime students, cadetship programs for maritime students, and access to The PTC Group's extensive job opportunities. This initiative underscores both institutions' commitment to fostering talent and preparing students for global careers. Leading the contract signing event is Ms. Vivian Cristobal, PTCI Chief Operating Officer and Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile, SVP for PTC Shipmanagement and Head of PTC-TAG, together with Dr. Elizabeth Salabas, VMA Global College President and Capt. Nino Elson Salabas, VMA VP for Maritime Studies. Peter Lugue, PTCI VP for Crewing Operations; Pol Winston Haboc, Head of PHILCAMSAT and The MAST; and Capt. Florencio Jampil, Business Development Director for Crewing and Shipmanagement, were also present during the signing. The cadetship program specifically targets the best of VMA's over 3,000 maritime students, equipping them with the skills and experience necessary to excel in the highly competitive maritime industry. The partnership also offers internships for their non-maritime students, providing practical experience in various PTC Group operations, and ensuring that they gain valuable insights and skills that will enhance their employability. Moreover, PTC-TAG will be sharing The PTC Group's vast job opportunities with VMA, opening multiple career paths within the organization. By aligning their resources and expertise, The PTC Group and VMA Global Colleges are set to create a pipeline of future global Filipino professionals excelling in both maritime and non-maritime sectors. |
