As the PTC Group continues to provide opportunities and an enabling environment to job seekers in various communities, the PTC Talent Acquisition (TA) team in cooperation with the Cabanatuan City Government’s Public Employment Services Office (PESO) conducted a Special Recruitment Activity last April 25 at the City Hall Covered Court in Cabanatuan City.
Representatives from three participating business units of the PTC group interviewed over 300 applicants who registered both online and onsite during the whole day activity. Recruitment officers from Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc., MSC Crewing Services Philippines, Inc., and Lifelinks International Resources took time and patiently attended to Cabanatueños who went to the recruitment venue in the hope of finding better job opportunities.
Capt. Florencio Jampil, Director of Business Development for Crewing and Shipmanagement, took part in the short program and introduced each of the business units present. In his short message, Capt. Jampil encouraged applicants to do well and provided those present with a better understanding of what to expect during the interview process. Each of the PTC Group representatives likewise delivered short messages introducing their respective companies.
Engr. Tony Reginaldo, PTC Recruitment and Training Manager; Irene Fulguera, Lifelinks Recruitment Manager; and Kathryn Aguirre, MSC General Manager all addressed the applicants and shared inspiring words on how they can successfully pursue global careers with PTC.
Jonnie Libunao, an applicant from Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, traveled 30 kilometers from his home to Cabanatuan City to grab this chance for employment.
Jonnie's effort was rewarded with a fulfilling and exciting career as he was accepted by Lifelinks as a painter.
While the pandemic has impacted the development and progress of our country, employment opportunities brought to various communities will help push toward a strong rebound of the economy. As our CEO Gerardo Borromeo mentioned previously, “We may not change the world but we can try to move the world in our way.” Taking this to heart, the Talent Acquisition team hopes to work harder, reach more communities, and tap more Global Filipino Professionals who will move the world in more ways than one!
