FAA presents graduates of pilot training program

DECEMBER 23, 2022

Twenty-four pilot trainees of First Aviation Academy (FAA) marched across the red carpet of Marriott’s Diplomatic Hall, in front of NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay, last December 20, 2022, when they were officially announced as graduates of FAA’s pilot training program. Joining the momentous event were distinguished guests, parents, and friends who played an important role in helping the graduates achieve their lifelong dream of becoming aviators. PTC CEO, Mr. Gerardo Borromeo shared the FAA Story in his opening remarks while FAA Accountable Manager, Capt. Jess Magdlangbayan, talked about the training journey of the 24 pilot trainees.

Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and MacroAsia Inc. President, Mr. Eduardo Luis Tan Luy, offered inspiring words to the graduates via a video message. This was immediately followed by the motivating speech of the event’s guest speaker, MGen. Ricardo Banayat (Ret.), Assistant Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

“I am very optimistic about your future,” said MGen. Banayat. “The industry is starting to get back on its feet, and with it, the industry will be needing more pilots. These 24 graduates have incredible things in their horizons right now and I am delighted to be a part of it.”

The 24 graduates belong to FAA's Batches 1 & 2 and the Clark-based modular training class consisting of former PAL Aviation School students. Top-performing cadets in academics, flight training, and leadership were also awarded during the festive night. The ceremony ended with a toast led by FAA Corporate Secretary, Atty. Marivic Moya.
