Bringing global careers to Cabuyao youth
APRIL 8, 2022
PTC brought its global career opportunities to the youth of Laguna through "Kamustahan sa Cabuyao" held last April 4 at the Pamantasan ng Cabuyao (PnC). Mayor Mel Gecolea of Cabuyao welcomed the team from PTC as they met with graduating PnC students and presented the sea-based career paths available at PTC as well as the land-based opportunities offered by Lifelinks International Resources.
"The PTC Group needs talented and driven Filipinos for the global careers that we offer and we see the potential of PnC graduates to be among PTC's crop of global Filipino professionals," said Capt. Ronald Enrile, PTC's Senior Vice President for Shipmanagement, Head of the Talent Acquisition Group, and Vice Chairman of ANGKLA. "We are very thankful to be given the opportunity to help pave a rewarding career path at sea, in the air, and on land for the youth of Cabuyao."
Capt. Enrile also took the chance to share ANGKLA's legislative agenda to the Laguna-based seafarers and OFWs in attendance.
"Filipinos are a very globalized people because of our OFWs and seafarers who are working all over the world and bringing in remittances to support their families and support the country," said Mayor Gecolea during the event. "That is why it is important to have a group like ANGKLA in Congress so we have someone to protect these people who do so much for our country."
"Kamustahan sa Cabuyao" was organized by PTC's Social Infrastructure Platform - Pipeline Engagement Program (SIP-PEP) Group.
