PTC Logistics completed the final leg of the DOH cold-chain pilot on July 28, successfully delivering Measles-Rubella vaccines and diluents to five Rural Health Units across Oriental Mindoro.
Following the Northern Luzon deployment from July 20 to 22 across Mountain Province and Cagayan Valley, the Mindoro run marked the successful completion of the pilot and another milestone for PTC Logistics’ cold-chain capabilities.
From Tala to the Towns of Mindoro
The final deployment began early on July 27 at the DOH National Warehouse in Tala, Caloocan, where the temperature-sensitive supplies were carefully loaded for transport.
From the warehouse, the teams proceeded to Batangas Port and traveled to Mindoro by RORO ferry, arriving in Calapan City ahead of the scheduled deliveries.
The following morning, three field teams carried out the delivery run across Naujan, Pinamalayan, Roxas, Mansalay, and Bulalacao. All five Rural Health Units received their scheduled supplies before the teams returned to Batangas later that day.
Spotlight on the Field Teams
Maintaining temperature integrity across both land and sea required close teamwork and disciplined execution on the ground.
- Team 1: Norman Aguilar and Julius Intrepido, joined by Christine Candari of University Research Co., who supported operational documentation and field surveys with RHU personnel

Behind the Scenes
The successful rollout was supported by close coordination among several teams and PTC Group units, highlighting the Group’s ability to bring together specialized capabilities for complex operations.
The deployment also brought together the capabilities of PTC Insurance, CTI, and the Carnotfleet Monitoring Team, which supported insurance coverage, route and accommodation arrangements, and real-time monitoring of the temperature-controlled units.
With the Northern Luzon and Mindoro runs completed, the pilot demonstrated PTC Logistics’ ability to move temperature-sensitive supplies safely across challenging land-and-sea routes.
