The PTC Group’s very own MGen. Restituto Padilla, Jr. (Ret.) was inducted into the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) on 11 September 2026 – a timely occasion indeed, as the Philippines celebrates Public Relations (PR) Month.
Established on 19 February 1957, the PRSP is the oldest and the country’s premier organization for public relations professionals. The Society was instrumental in pushing for the issuance of Presidential Proclamation No. 1357 on 13 August 2007 declaring September as Public Relations Month. The PRSP is behind the annual Anvil Awards, the most prestigious recognition program in the country in the field of PR.
MGen. Padilla is no stranger to PR work, having spent more than a third of his military career performing PR-related functions. As Spokesperson and concurrent Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations (J7) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), he was instrumental in sustaining our military’s high net trust and net satisfaction ratings. He was later plucked out of retirement to serve as the Spokesperson of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19.
PRSP President Ana Ruby Pista (APR) expressed the Society’s excitement to have MGen. Padilla finally on board. “We are very happy to induct MGen. Padilla today, and eagerly look forward to benefiting from his wisdom and expertise as PRSP pursues its various strategic initiatives,” Ms. Pista said in her welcome remarks.
