On July 31, PTC welcomed participants from the Professional Integration Center (PIC) for an immersive career readiness and workplace orientation program designed to prepare young job seekers for future employment opportunities.
The program began with an orientation led by John Paul Maramara of the PTC Shipping HR Team, who introduced the participants to PTC, its businesses, and the wide range of services it provides across the maritime and corporate sectors. This was followed by a guided tour of the First Maritime Place, giving participants a firsthand look at the company’s workplace environment and various functional areas.
As part of the visit, the group also explored the PHILCAMSAT Simulation Center, where they gained insights into the state-of-the-art maritime training facilities and simulation technologies used to develop the competencies of Filipino seafarers.

In the afternoon, participants attended a “Behavior at Work” session facilitated by Mr. Adrian Perez, PTC Shipping Cluster HR Business Partner, who emphasized workplace professionalism, proper work ethics, effective communication, a positive attitude, and the behaviors expected in a professional setting.
The program concluded with a Mock Interview Session, providing participants with the opportunity to experience a simulated job interview in a supportive environment. They received constructive feedback on their performance, along with practical guidance on interview preparation, strategies for answering common interview questions, and tips for creating a professional and impactful résumé.
Through initiatives like this, PTC continues to support the Professional Integration Center’s mission of equipping young job seekers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to successfully transition into the workforce while fostering greater career readiness among the next generation of professionals.
