Students of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) are now one step closer to turning their aviation dreams into reality through a partnership with First Aviation Academy (FAA) in Subic, creating new opportunities for aspiring pilots while enriching their academic experience.
Under the collaboration, students from the University’s Tourism and Hospitality and Engineering, Architecture, and Technology programs can pursue pilot training while completing their required on-the-job training hours. The initiative provides students with practical aviation exposure alongside their academic studies, equipping them with industry-relevant skills and opening new career pathways in the growing aviation sector.
To mark the beginning of the partnership, DLSU-D administrators recently visited First Aviation Academy’s training facilities in Subic. During the visit, they met with the academy’s administrators and flight instructors, gaining firsthand insight into the training environment that will prepare students for their journey toward becoming professional pilots.
A key highlight of the partnership is the First Flight Program, a pioneering initiative that allows students to experience piloting an aircraft after completing their ground school and flight simulator training. By giving students the opportunity to take the controls during their maiden flight, the program transforms aviation from an aspiration into a tangible learning experience, making it a truly unique offering for future aviators.
Further strengthening its engagement with the DLSU community, First Aviation Academy also participated in the DLSU Job Expo on July 14. The academy welcomed students interested in exploring aviation careers, introduced its pilot training programs, and showcased its portable flight simulator, giving visitors an immersive glimpse of life in the cockpit.
Through initiatives such as the First Flight Program and its continued collaboration with academic institutions, First Aviation Academy is helping cultivate the next generation of aviation professionals by providing aspiring pilots with meaningful learning experiences, industry exposure, and a clear pathway toward achieving their dreams of flight.
