On June 10, Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc. (PTC) and RSE Foundation, Inc. (RSEFI) successfully facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing with CORE Resilience Consultancy, Inc. (CRCI) at First Maritime Place, Makati City.
CRCI was represented by Mr. Gonzalo Servano, Jr., President, with Ms. Jhelyn Relopez, Vice President, and Ms. Jonamae Fabale, Corporate Secretary. Representing PTC were Ms. Beng Cristobal, COO Shipping, and Mr. Hector Brizuela, PTC Talent Acquisition Group Program Manager. RSEFI was represented by Arlene Ramirez, Resource Mobilization and Administration Manager, and Capt. Ronald Enrile, Executive Director.
CORE Resilience Consultancy Inc. is a professional consultancy organization offering Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and resilience building consultancy services, program management, and specialized training services.
CRCI has been a trusted resilience partner of the PTC RISE Program since 2022, consistently providing technical support and resource speakers for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activities and training sessions conducted across communities, schools, and sectors.
Through this milestone agreement, PTCI (via the RISE Program for Safe Schools) and RSEFI (via the RISE Program for Seafarer Communities) will leverage CRCI’s expertise to develop and enhance DRR assets and materials, monitor and evaluate existing initiatives, and co-formulate future disaster resilience programs.
CRCI President Gonzalo Servano, Jr. expressed his enthusiasm about the MOU signing ceremony. “We have been partners with PTCI for a long time through the PTC RISE Program, which was then Project RISE.” CRCI’s establishment was also influenced by the PTC RISE Program, as it became more involved in training communities, schools, and sectors in developing their DRR capacities. This MOU with both PTCI and RSEFI is an essential partnership where both organizations work together to ensure the safety of citizens against hazards and disasters.
CRCI, PTCI, and RSEFI will now plan and activate DRR activities and initiatives in communities, schools, and sectors, as we move together in building resilient communities and sustainable lives.
