World Citi Colleges – Antipolo, one of the valued partner schools of PTC’s Talent Acquisition Group (TAG), recently hosted a transformative seminar focused on safety awareness and career preparedness in the hospitality and tourism industry. Held on April 24, 2026, the event gathered over 200 first-year students from the BS Hospitality Management and Tourism Management programs, alongside invited guests, reflecting the importance of strong academe–industry collaboration.
Designed to ignite passion and prepare students for real-world challenges, the seminar featured insightful and experience-driven discussions from invited guests representing The PTC Group. Their participation underscored PTC TAG’s continued commitment to partnering with educational institutions to help shape future-ready talent, particularly for global hospitality and cruise careers.
Taking the stage was 3/E JM Hieras, an MSC Global Maritime Professional, who delivered an engaging talk on “Future Skills Needed in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.” Drawing from his extensive experience working onboard international cruise ships, JM provided a realistic and motivating perspective on how the industry continues to evolve—driven by technology, rising guest expectations, sustainability initiatives, and increasingly complex global operations. He emphasized that success in the industry requires adaptability, continuous learning, and the right mindset, concluding with a powerful reminder: “Future-ready professionals are not just those who have the right skills today, but those who are ready for the industry of tomorrow.” His real-world insights resonated strongly with students aspiring to build careers in the cruise and hospitality sectors.
The session was followed by an equally impactful talk from Peluchie Reloj, Training Instructor at PTC Aviation Training Center, who shared invaluable lessons from her distinguished career as a former flight attendant. Speaking with warmth and authenticity, she highlighted the importance of pairing technical skills with humility, attitude, and a genuine heart for service. She reminded students that while skills may open doors, it is character and service excellence that sustains long-term success. Her personal stories brought her message to life, inspiring students to pursue excellence with purpose and passion.
Through initiatives such as this seminar, PTC TAG continues to strengthen its partnerships with academic institutions while reinforcing PTC’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Global Filipino Professionals. By bridging classroom learning with real industry experiences—particularly in the cruise sector—PTC helps prepare HRM and Tourism students to become confident, competent, and future-ready contributors to the global workforce.
