Empowering safety champions: PTC partners with Philippine Red Cross for First Aid Training

To further strengthen safety and emergency response awareness across the organization, The PTC Group conducted a comprehensive First Aid and Emergency Preparedness Training in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Makati City Branch. Held over two days, the training equipped employees with essential life-saving skills and knowledge to effectively respond during emergencies in the workplace.

On the first day, May 13, participants gathered at the Legazpi Room in First Maritime Place for a full-day session on Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support – CPR with AED, led by Red Cross instructor Mr. Ariel Doza. The hands-on training allowed participants to practice CPR techniques, learn how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED), and respond to a range of medical emergencies that could arise in a work environment.

The second day, held on May 14, at Room 201 of FMP Annex, featured additional topics including First Aid Management, Emergency Preparedness, Emergency Evacuation, and the proper Lifting and Moving of Patients.

Facilitated by Mr. Ariel Doza and Mr. Noel Buenaventura, the training emphasized the importance of readiness, quick thinking, and proper technique in handling various emergency situations. Through this initiative, the PTC Group reaffirms its commitment to creating a safe and responsive workplace for all.
