PTC’s Capt. Ronald Enrile joins Phil. business delegation in President Marcos’ state visit to Japan

Capt. Ronald Enrile, Senior Vice President for Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Ship Management & Head of the PTC Talent Acquisition Group, was part of the official Philippine Business Delegation representing the Shipping Sector during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s four-day state visit to Japan from February 8 to 12, 2023.

The state visit included a meeting with Japanese shipowners in which Mr. Junichiro Ikeda, president of the Japanese Shipowners’ Association (JSA), told President Marcos and the Philippine delegation that “Filipino seafarers play a big role” in the industry. “Filipino seafarers are essential to the Japanese shipping industry. And so we sincerely and strongly hope that there will continue to be a steady supply of professional and well-trained Filipino seafarers to work alongside us,” said Mr. Ikeda, according to a release from Malacañang.
