PTC Sea Mariners continues to strengthen its commitment to developing well-rounded maritime leaders through strategic partnerships and meaningful community engagement. In July, the program formalized collaborations with the JBLFMU System and VMA Global College, bringing together maritime education, youth leadership, environmental advocacy, and disaster resilience. These partnerships were complemented by hands-on initiatives, including disaster risk reduction sessions and a coastal clean-up that saw Sea Mariners cadets recover 670 kilograms of marine waste from the Arevalo Coastal District.
Strategic Academic Partnerships
PTC Sea Mariners officially signed Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with the JBLFMU System and VMA Global College to advance youth leadership, environmental advocacy, and disaster resilience. Following each signing, Mr. Hector Manuel Jon C. Brizuela, Program Manager of PTC Sea Mariners, led an orientation for student cadets, followed by an interactive Master of Disaster (MOD) Board Game Session focused on disaster risk reduction.

Sea Mariners cadets from JBLFMU Arevalo and JBLFMU Molo, alongside the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), conducted a coastal clean-up at the Arevalo Coastal District, successfully retrieving and diverting 670 kg of marine waste.
